The investment company Crane Constancy Investments, backed by former Istrokapital Group shareholder Braňo Prieložný and lawyer Michal Martinko, is now looking at domestic telecommunications. It is betting heavily on the development of fifth-generation networks.
That is why at the end of 2020 Crane took control of SBM Holding Group, a construction-technology company from Kladno, which earns over CZK 100 million annually. The company’s main customers are T-Mobile, but also Cetin and other operators. For the Slovaks, this is just the beginning and they continue to look for other suitable targets in the industry.
It is not the only financial investor that wants to benefit from the development of 5G networks in the Czech Republic. In addition to PPF, the owner of Cetin and O2, DRFG, Nordic Investors and Karel Pražák’s Kaprain are also involved in the industry.
